WAKE PARK TOURISM COMPLEX

  • project type tourist complex

About the project

A unique project of tourist houses in hobbit aesthetics, which has become the central element of the Wake Park complex. Three buildings, integrated into the terrain and sheltered under a layer of earth, literally dissolve into the hills by the lake. The project demonstrates how a complex landscape can become the main architectural advantage of a property.

At the core of the concept is a combination of natural materials and modern technologies. Structurally, these are reinforced frame buildings where the timber frame is filled with straw blocks and clay. This solution ensures natural air exchange, a high level of comfort, and excellent sound insulation characteristics.

Thanks to natural ventilation and thermal regulation by the soil through the usable green roofs, the buildings significantly reduce the need for climate control equipment and feature low operational costs.

Wake Park has become one of the first examples of the commercial application of sustainable architecture in Moldova. The project shows that tourism infrastructure can be simultaneously ecological, economically effective, and emotionally attractive. It is a space for relaxation where architecture helps to feel a closer connection with nature.

The LH47 ARCH team: people who live their craft

The LH47 ARCH team is made up of architects, engineers, and designers for whom the profession long stopped being just a job. Behind every project they see not a form or a façade, but a person: how they will live in this space, what scenarios will unfold there over time. This kind of view cannot be imitated — it grows only out of a genuine love for the work.
