Pinecone is a conceptual tourist housing project that reimagines the format of countryside recreation through nature-inspired architecture. The image of a pinecone became the foundation for the building’s geometry, allowing the object to organically integrate into the forest landscape and become its natural extension.
The project was created as an alternative to standard countryside accommodation formats such as barnhouses, A-frames, and modular homes. Instead of conventional architecture, we proposed a recognizable art object that becomes an independent point of attraction and shapes the value of the tourist location.
The house features a three-level structure elevated above the ground on two-meter pillars, which minimizes intervention in the natural environment. The first level houses a living room and a compact bathroom, the second level contains a private bedroom for two people, and the top level is occupied by an observation deck with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Pinecone demonstrates how expressive architecture can become the main element of a tourism project, creating a unique user experience and enhancing the attractiveness of the territory.
