MODERN STONE RESIDENCE WITH AN UNDERGROUND GARAGE

  • project type private house
  • stage construction

About the project

This house is built on the iceberg principle, where its architecture unfolds not only in the visible volume but also within the space hidden underground. Crisp rectangular geometry, natural stone cladding, and the restrained forms of the facades create an expressive yet deeply serene image. Behind this external simplicity lies a complex engineering and functional structure.

The facades are crafted from custom-made natural stone, delivered to the site as ready-to-install elements. The refined texture of the material highlights the architectural purity of the volume, revealing itself differently depending on the time of day and the character of the natural light.

The floor plan is based on the principles of functionality and comfort. In addition to the main living areas, the project includes walk-in closets, technical rooms, storage spaces, and a wine cellar. However, the defining element of the house is the underground level, specifically designed to showcase the owner’s car collection. This basement floor is conceptualized as a private gallery, where the vehicles become an integral part of the space’s architectural scenario rather than mere objects in storage.

The project demonstrates an approach where architectural expressiveness is achieved not through decorative tricks, but through precise proportions, premium materials, and the thoughtfulness of every design choice. Complex technical challenges are integrated into the architecture naturally and invisibly, preserving the integrity of the design while maintaining an exceptional level of comfort.

The LH47 ARCH team: people who live their craft

The LH47 ARCH team is made up of architects, engineers, and designers for whom the profession long stopped being just a job. Behind every project they see not a form or a façade, but a person: how they will live in this space, what scenarios will unfold there over time. This kind of view cannot be imitated — it grows only out of a genuine love for the work.
